Yoana Buzova (1987, BG) is an interdisciplinary artist, working with various media, but focused primarily on building tangible works and experimenting with DIY strategies, both physically and virtually. Her interest is in using low-tech, simple, accessible methods in unexpected combinations. She examines processes of encoding, signification and communication to bring personal moments. After graduating from a BA in photography (Sofia, Bulgaria), Yoana worked mainly on stop motion animation. Currently she is based in the Netherlands, where she undertakes an MA at the Piet Zwart Institute. Yoana is a proud member of the The Tip Top Orchestra and founder of A.S.M.A.
